chips, but make it fruit.
Yep! These banana chips are crispy AND crunchy, sweet AND salty. Not only are they delicious, but they are a pretty great healthy snack! There aren’t a ton of ingredients involved in making these banana chips, and they can be made sweet or savory. You can add a dash of cinnamon, or just stick to my method of olive oil and sea salt. I like them both ways, (that’s what she said)!

why i love these air fryer banana chips
The air fryer is possibly one of my all time favorite kitchen inventions. It takes the heavy drippy grease part out of frying things, so obviously we are all on board for that. It’s so simple to use and makes things extra delicious extra quick! These banana chips are crazy easy to make in the air fryer, and just as quick, too! They require 2 ingredients, then everything else is up to you. Make a big batch because they last for up to 2 weeks!

how to make air fryer banana chips
Using just ripe bananas, slice into thin slices. Place in a bowl and toss with olive oil and sea salt. Line air fryer basket, or removable baking sheets, with one layer of banana slices. Cook for 12 minutes at 360°F, checking half way. Sprinkle with extra sea salt, let cool completely and store in an air tight container.

Tips for making air fryer banana chips
For this recipe I used just BARELY ripened bananas, if they were too ripe they would fall apart when you tried to cut them.
Cut your banana slices THIN. If they are too thick they won’t crisp up enough to make them crunchy!
You can switch up the taste of these chips super easily! Add some cinnamon, sugar, or even chili powder for some exciting new flavor!
This is the air fryer I use!
