White Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These White Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a super easy and budget friendly way to show someone you love them. There is nothing better than a home-made sweet treat!
Servings 15 strawberries
- 1 package strawberries
- 6 ounces white chocolate chips
- 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil optional*
Wash and dry your strawberries and set aside. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a double boiler over medium heat, melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. You can also do this in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing until completely smooth.
Holding onto the green end of the strawberry**, dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate until completely covered. Set on prepared baking sheet and let harden before removing. You can also put them in the refrigerator to speed up the process, but they will start to sweat.
*You don't HAVE to use this, if you don't have any. It will just make the chocolate thicker and a little more difficult to dip smoothly.
*You can also substitute the coconut oil with shortening or another type of oil (vegetable, canola, etc). Just add a small amount at a time and check the consistency before adding more.
***Using a toothpick, fork, or corn on the cob holders makes dipping the strawberries into the white chocolate SO much easier.
